Greenland is considered the largest island in the world. More than 84% of its surface is covered with ice. Jointly with, Sterna and Tierra Polares, you’ll have the opportunity to discover its mysterious and iconic east coast, one of the most isolated areas of Greenland.
An intense journey to live fully the nature: rugged mountains, glaciers, fjords, islands, hot springs, icebergs, etc … and to visit the villages and to meet local people from the region, the Inuit. They still use sled dogs for moving around. Hunting whales and seals is the base of its existence, as well as their culture and language.
The coastline and its wildlife in Ittoqqortoormiit, is a paradise. Ittoqqortoormiit’s village is like a fairy tale with colorful painted wooden houses and a beautiful church.
From Sterna we’ll approach to those places where there is no way to get there, but by the sea like exploring nearby the magnificent nature of the fjord Scoresbysund, the world’s largest.
